My side job
About half way through the last school year I was so tired of constantly telling James that he better hurry and get ready or he would miss the bus that I came up with a plan that was pretty effective. I told him that it was up to him to get ready for school and if he missed the bus I would be more than happy to drive him, but he would have to give me a dollar for gas.
He hasn't missed the bus once! Although he came pretty dang close this morning. Samm was already out the door while he was still unloading the dishwasher, and I don't think I have ever seen him put dishes away faster.
After the kids were gone I started helping Macy get ready for her first day of preschool when she asked me how she was going to get there. I told her I was going to drive her in the car, and she immediately asked "Do I have to pay you a dollar?"

What is it with these girls of mine
Once again we are right back HERE. Do anyone else's babies have this problem or am I just super lucky? 3 out of 4 kids seems kind of crazy to me.

Laila Bug {Almost 3 Weeks}
I got a Grandma request today for more pictures and since we had some happy awake time I snapped away.
We also did a little Pilates while she was awake!
Hello Beautiful!
The only sad thing about babies is that it makes your used to be baby suddenly seem huge. I mean, Macy is a big girl, but when did she get that big?
As a funny side note, when we were checking out Samm's classroom during meet your teacher, Samm's teacher asked Macy who her teacher was last year. People are always shocked to find out she is only 3 1/2 and won't start kindergarten for two more years.
And make sure you keep scrolling down, because I actually double posted today.

I've never been so happy to have the school year begin
The kids weren't really all that excited about school starting again until last week when they finally got to meet their teachers and see their new classrooms. I, on the other hand, have been excited for quite a while!
Tuesday morning they were up bright and early and all ready to go with 45 minutes to spare. James wouldn't let me help pick out nice clothes and Samm wouldn't let me fix her hair, but I was just glad they had on clean underwear!
And even though the kids were ready early, I was still rushing around to make lunches and get the baby fed before the bus came, so these are the only pictures I got.
I was a little worried about how Macy would handle not having friends around to play with all day, but she seems to be doing just fine!

How we are all feeling right now
Josh was on call Friday, is on call tonight, and will be on call again on Tuesday. We were lucky enough today that he was able to come home for a few hours and even have dinner with us before the dreaded beeping started, but it is still hard every time he has to go in.
This evening as he was kissing us all goodbye, James said "I wish you weren't a doctor dad, I wish you were a stay at home person."
Talk about pulling at your parent heart strings!
