For those of you (you know who you are) who weren't quite sure if Josh was really a doctor

Pretty cool, huh! Sometimes it's still weird for me to hear him talking doctor stuff when the nurses call. Around here, he's still just dad. We don't ever get to see him in action so it's always fun for me to see pictures. Only certain ones though! I'm pretty squeamish.

By the way, that leg he is cutting on belongs to a 500 pound woman!

Some days...

I think I would give anything to change my name from mom to dad. Then again...

Being dad can be a pretty exhausting job too!

True Love

People keep asking me how I am feeling, so I though I would just put it out there for everyone that I am downright miserable!

I have to give myself a little pep talk everyday just to keep going. "3 weeks left. I can do this!"

If I didn't have this darn pain in my hips than it might not be quite as bad. Although I'm sure I would still be feeling over baked and D.O.N.E. Are there really women out there that love being pregnant? I do love bits and pieces of it, but overall it's not my favorite part of motherhood. Especially the part where I have to use a golf club as a cane to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night! True story.

Last night I couldn't take it any more so I decided I would sleep on the couch because oddly enough it is the one place I can lay without being in a lot of pain. The only problem is the rest of me is incredibly uncomfortable and I don't get any more sleep than I would in bed and I usually end up with a head ache the next day. Anyway, last night I opted for the head ache instead of hip pain and without me even asking Josh grabbed a blanket and curled up on the other side of the couch so I wouldn't have to be alone.

What a great man I have! Sure wish I could sleep that soundly!

Our Dad wears fancy pants...

Because he can make a watermelon basket! Our kids were amazed!

I did plan a nice steak dinner for him, which he never gets since I've had a strong aversion to all things meat during this pregnancy, but he got home from work right before we got home from church and decided to cut his own watermelon and grill his own steak.

Even though Josh had to work today, he was able to run over for sacrament meeting so he could hear the kids sing and then go back to the hospital. The kids were really happy that he was there, even though James pretty much hates anytime the primary has to sing. I just keep thinking how much he is going to hate it when he is 11 and still has to go up.

Anyway, Josh making it over for sacrament meeting, and then making it home in time for dinner made it a pretty special day. And I hope Josh felt a little bit special, because he really is an awesome Dad and deserves to have some recognition for all his hard work.

In other news...I'm 30 weeks pregnant today

Josh told me I was huge, James said I was fat, and Macy called me a cow...OK not really, she was talking about the steak we were eating, but it happened to coincide with the whole "Mom is really fat conversation."

As annoyed as I was at Josh for telling me I was huge, I can't deny it isn't true. Just for fun tonight I went back and looked at my very first blog post because I was wearing this same dress. I was 35 weeks pregnant with Macy at the time and I think I am almost as big right now at 30 weeks.

I'm not looking forward to the next nine weeks.
